Cilantro and lime are my two favorite combinations when making marinades. The acid from the lime helps to break down the enzymes in the chicken, creating a juicy and tender end product with lots of yummy flavor. This marinade is super easy and would be great on a flank steak as well!

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup of grape seed oil

  • 1/2 tsp of chili powder

  • Good handful of salt and pepper

  • Juice and zest of two limes

  • 1 big bunch of fresh chopped cilantro (about 3 tbs)

Directions:

  1. Add all ingredients to a mason jar, cover and shake, shake, shake!

(you'll soon learn that I love making dressings and marinades in mason jars!)
