Exploring the Outdoors
Today's Wellness Wednesday Tip is an easy one. I want you all to get active and explore the great outdoors and this beautiful world we live in. I kind of really hate going to the gym most of the time. My favorite way to get exercise is to be outdoors. Some activities I enjoy outside are running, walking, walking my dog, hiking, or playing sports especially sand volleyball. My favorite place to explore close to my home is Graue Mill, Fullersburg County Forest Preserve. Its a beautiful park full of trees, leaves, flowers, water, trails and animals. I saw 5 deers on my hike the other week! Sometimes I like to go through the hilly areas and listen to a new podcast or other times I enjoy a run! Being outdoors is a great way to be exposed to dirt, yes I said dirt, and reintroduce good bacteria into your body! Read, Eat Dirt, by Dr. Josh Axe he explains it all. So get outside today even if its only for 30 minutes that's all you need. Explore the world and what's around you while getting your blood flowing, heart pumping, and strengthening that cardiac muscle! Get dirty and soak up the vitamin D!
